Description
At 38 feet, two inches, the Bayliner 3870 features two private staterooms, two heads (one with a bathtub!), a walk-in engine room, and other amenities typically found on larger yachts.
Entering the spacious, bright saloon, several elements immediately catch your eye. First, the woodwork is among the finest available in a production boat. The layout of the saloon is open and inviting. To port is a large U-shaped lounge, providing a less confined dining area compared to most boats.
On the starboard side of the saloon, you'll find an entertainment center housing the stereo console and a liquor cabinet, as well as the lower steering station. Forward of the saloon and to starboard is an efficient, well-organized galley with double sinks, a 12/110 volt refrigerator-freezer, and a three-burner propane stove and oven.
The large stateroom across from the galley features a double bed (which hardly qualifies as a bunk on this boat), a hanging locker, ample storage space, and access to the main head and shower-tub.
The main head boasts a unique design, with access from both the aft stateroom and the main cabin. It is fully equipped, with a sliding tinted glass door leading to the shower-tub.
The Bayliner 3870 is powered by twin 130-hp Chrysler Mitsubishi diesels, robust engines with an excellent track record.
