2002 Nordhavn 40'

Amarok is a standout among the Nordhavn 40 series, one of the smallest yet most capable passage makers built by Pacific Asian Enterprises. This full displacement trawler has safely and comfortably carried its solo captain from the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia to San Diego, California.

Description

Key features that enhance Amarok's performance and safety include a comfortable flybridge and a comprehensive suite of electronics, including a FLIR night vision camera. While underway, the NAIAD stabilizers and proactive monitoring systems make for a smooth passage. Notably, Amarok is one of the few Nordhavn 40s equipped with a mast tabernacle, reducing its height from 32 to 18 feet for easier bridge clearance when on inland passage navigation.

Whether crossing oceans, cruising along beautiful shores or exploring inland waterways, Amarok stands out as a solid, stable vessel. It offers an efficient combination of economy, size, and comfort.

Amarok is a first-generation Nordhavn 40, hull number 32 of the 44 produced in California by the renowned cruising sailboat builder Pacific Seacraft.
