1971 Amel 39'
1971 Amel 39'
Description
Design and Construction: The Amel Euros 39 is a Motor Sailor that was designed by Henri Amel. As early as 1964, Henri was a prolific designer and a well-respected builder. He was also one of the pioneers in French Fiberglass Boat Building. His process was to assemble the boats with what Amel called stratification, where the internal bulkheads, deck and hull were all joined as a single component, thus forming a perfectly waterproof and highly resilient structure. The Hull, keel and integral full skeg are Constructed with a polyester laminate layup using polyester resin with full encapsulated cast iron ballast. The deck is also a polyester laminate using polyester resin but with an end grain Balsa core sandwiched between the outer and inner layers of glasswork. The decks are wide and have an aggressive non-slip and a generous surrounding bulwark fitted with spillways to allow water to clear the decks. Not only is there a Pulpit and a Pushpit, but a full Stainless-steel rail all around the entire deck with a wire lower lifeline, all well supported by Stainless-Steel
