Description

The Oldport Marine 26 is a full-keel, Down East-style boat with a sharp entry and built-in spray rails. Originally built for use as yacht club and harbor launches these versatile boats are highly maneuverable and will turn in either direction in its own length.

Oldport Marine of Newport (RI) built the first of the 26’s in 1984 for their own purposes ferrying folks around Newport Harbor and quickly began building more for the commercial launch trade and recreational boating.

True Blue was built in 1990 as a recreational boat with a center console steering station forward of the engine box as opposed to the launch style arrangement of helm station to port. True Blue was purchased by the current owners in 2019 and seeing that the boat needed attention commissioned Edgecomb Boat works to do an extensive refit / restoration that garnered the attention of Maine Boats, Harbors and Homes magazine and was featured in their July 2021 Boats of The Year issue

True Blue has been under the care of Edgecomb Boat Works since that time and is in exceptionally good condition with no work apart from routine commissioning tasks and launching to be up and going for this year’s boating season.
