1970 Brownell 26'
Description
SPIRIT II is a classic Brownell Bass Boat designed by the Eldrige-McInnis Firm and built by Fred Brownell of Mattapoisett, MA in 1970. She underwent an extensive re-fit in 2012 executed by David Knott of Inshore Boat Shop in Marion, MA. The hull was turned over, stripped, repaired, and re-faired, and the newly laminated keel was glassed in. The hull is cold-molded mahogany, with two layers of diagonal mahogany planking with a fiberglass overlay and bronze fasteners. She has sawn oak frames, a plywood/fiberglass deck, and oak floors. SPIRIT II is powered by a 300 hp Pleasure Craft Marine Engine with low hours. She is equipped with a VHF, Danforth compass, depth sounder, log speedometer, plotter, a Garmin GPSMAP 740s, and a manual head. SPIRIT II’s current owner purchased the boat last year (2023) and is selling due to personal reasons.
