Established in 1918, the company’s origins trace back to crafting wooden fishing boats, steel tugboats, and coasters. It was not until 1982 that Amels made a significant mark in the yachting world with the launch of the superyacht KATALINA, which set the stage for their renowned reputation in custom-built superyachts, offering a diverse selection of models.

To date, most of Amels’ yachts have been produced under the semi-custom Amels Limited Editions series, with the Amels 272 being the largest vessel to date. Initially 83 meters long (extended to 89 meters in 2021), the superyacht Here Comes The Sun is the largest by size and volume in the Limited Editions lineup. The series’ earlier models included the Amels 180, Amels 200, Amels 206, Amels 220, Amels 242, and Amels 272. In 2019, Damen Yachting introduced the Amels 60, followed by the Amels 80 in 2022. The inaugural Amels 60, named Come Together, was delivered in 2022, and the first Amels 80 is expected in 2025.

Among the notable full-custom projects from Amels are the distinctive 82-meter Ilona, the 78-meter Montkaj, the 76-meter Boadicea, the 74-meter Lady E, and the 61-meter Calypso.
