Kadey-Krogen's 44 Wide Body design is the result of years of combined cruising experience that when brought together has created a nautical master piece. This model incorporates features that are sought after by experienced cruisers for all the right reasons; a boat that is big enough to be comfortable and manageable by the typical boating couple, yet not too big. With an overall length of just under 50', this model is just right for exploring the islands and coves along the inside passage or points beyond.

The "Wide Body" model eliminates the side deck along the port side to create a spacious salon and galley, while maintaining the starboard side deck for safety and convenience. The large covered cockpit features both transom and bulwark doors for ease of access.

Double opening screened salon doors open the generous salon to the cockpit and create ample space for fair weather living or socializing. The comfortable salon bench seating and expandable salon table are ideal for entertaining. The two leather recliners with ottoman's are a perfect place to wind down after a day at sea.

The pilot house features excellent visibility when underway and includes a pedestal helm chair and large, elevated bench seat with table aft that converts to a double pilot berth. The flybridge creates another full function navigation station when conditions allow.  

Tarka has active stabilization, bow and stern thrusters, water maker, four zone hydronic heat, three reverse cycle heat pumps, Northern Lights 8KW generator, fuel polisher, Furuno NavNet 3D black box with recent software updates and dual monitors, Com Nav auto pilot, AIS class B tranceiver, 11' commercial duty aluminum RIB with 15HP electric, Honda, a 1000# Steelhead four function hydraulic crane and more. Overall, this vessel is a well found and outfitted package!
