Description
Independencia is an extremely well-appointed 1996 Venezia 42 built by Fountaine Pajot. She is turn/key with a recent re-power with new Yanmar diesels and sail drives. The yacht is in great condition and has been well maintained and by her current owners.
The Venezia is one of the few catamarans that balances performance with comfort. She is not a floating power condo, nor is she a stripped out complex racer. She will sail well in medium to moderate breeze and can be managed by a short-handed crew. She can handle the heavy weather like a champ and hold your cruising gear.
Independencia is a 2 queen, 1 double cabin, 2 head layout with the 4th cabin converted into a workshop and storage space. The cockpit is large with the helm area off to the starboard side. The salon greets you with an over sized settee making the space so entertainable. The Galley is off to the starboard side giving you plenty of counter space and storage. When you go up on the decks you have ample space for getting up to the bow and the space forward of the salon makes it simple to have everything you need on board the boat.

Manufacturer Provided Description
Individual, aesthetic, efficient, and perfectly balanced: the Venezia 42. The futuristic "cap" in the roof is a sunshade which eliminates the greenhouse effect inside the boat and shields fabrics and woodwork from the deteriorating affect of UV rays. Colours, shapes, materials - all are ingredients for the successful alchemy of the Venezia interior design. One of its finer points must be the unusually spacious hulls, with four double cabins. Galley and chart table are both in the saloon to take advantage of the superb all-round view. Every Fountaine Pajot is built to the highest ISO 9002 European standard for offshore yachts, incorporating vacuum-bagging construction and careful hand lay-up with sophisticated high-strength isophthalic resins, which results in an extremely high strength-to-weight ratio. The keels are fixed fins, and filled with foam, protecting the rudders and shafts. Should they strike a reef or submerged object they harmlessly break away without allowing water intrusion. Fountaine Pajot catamarans use nets forward and eliminate weight in the forward hulls to prevent pitching and aid bow recovery in heavy seas. Electric windlasses are used not only for hauling in the anchor, but also for hoisting the main.
