Owners Comments and Boat History
Orion suffered only superficial, sub-gelcoat lacerations and scraping from flying debris and dockside chafe while in her slip during Hurricane Irma. These areas were professionally filled, faired, and polished by top-level marine tradesmen in St. Maarten.
The boat has seen very little use since her refit. After purchase, whatever needed replacement or upgrading was addressed. Where possible, parts were sourced directly from Beneteau’s Annapolis warehouse.
Many items were upgraded beyond industry standard, including:
- Electronics
- 110V systems replacing the original 220V setup
- Victron inverter
- Solar system
- Additional 12V circuits
- Radios
- Additional pumps
- Oversized bimini
- Helm cover
- Cockpit table cover
- Liferaft cover
Everything is functional and operating as designed.
Extensive manuals, brochures, and documentation for the installed equipment are organized in 3-ring binders.
The liferaft is out of date and will require inspection and/or replacement.
