Description
Chaser is a replica of an old design built by Elco (Electric Boat Company) in Connecticut in the 1920's. Chaser is Cold Molded, the most modern wooden boat building methods. Cold Molding uses 3 or more thin layers of wood that are laid cross-diagonally, one at a time, and saturated with epoxy resin and mechanically fastened. Then the hull is sheathed in fiberglass cloth and epoxy resin. This provides a hull that is incredibly strong while also being lightweight with high impact resistance!
