Captain Juan Pablo Moll is a seasoned professional with over two decades of maritime experience, based in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Born in 1979, Juan Pablo’s deep-rooted connection to the sea began at an early age and has since evolved into a distinguished career commanding sportfishing vessels and luxury yachts across the Americas.
Juan Pablo holds a Mexican captain’s license, a valid U.S. travel visa, and has completed comprehensive maritime training, including certifications in fire prevention, first aid, and safety at sea. Fluent in both English and Spanish and proficient with modern navigation and communication systems, he brings a professional and adaptable approach to every voyage.
He studied at Navigation School in Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlán and holds a business degree from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. His education complements his hands-on experience with a practical understanding of operations, logistics, and client service—crucial skills for managing high-end vessels and delivering top-tier charter experiences.
Over the years, Juan Pablo has captained a wide range of vessels, including the 80’ Viking Convertible Why Wouldn’t We, the 72’ Viking Freak Show, and the 60’ Sculley Why Wouldn’t We, with extensive itineraries spanning Florida, the Bahamas, Central America, and Mexico’s Pacific coast.
His long-standing experience includes navigating through destinations like Costa Rica, Panama, the Bahamas, El Salvador, and multiple key ports in the United States. Juan Pablo is also an expert fisherman, known for his leadership, calm under pressure, and dedication to both crew and guests.
