Brett Eller
Brett, born and raised in Southern California started his life on the water very early. At the young age of 12, he worked as a deckhand on party fishing boats departing out of Dana Point Harbor. Managing his time between work and school, Brett worked thru the ranks quickly and received his Captain's license at 18 years old. When his father, an educator, told him he must go to college; Brett found that the California Maritime Academy would be a perfect fit.
Brett majored in Marine Transportation, graduating with honors. After graduation Brett went to sea as a Merchant Marine Officer on tankships and offshore tug boats, sailing his way up to Chief Mate before realizing smaller vessels and yachts were his true calling. Brett keeps his unlimited tonnage United States Coast Guard License current to this day.
In 2005 Brett made the move to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to Captain sportfishing vessels. He lives in Cabo now with his family and continues to be successful, winning and placing in many tournaments including the prestigious “Bisbee’s Black and Blue” among others. Along with his career in yacht sales, he is the Captain of an extremely competitive sportfishing team. Brett is a strong advocate for billfish release efforts and wants to assure his 3-year-old son has plenty of marlin to fight and release in years to come.
Sales is a perfect parallel with Brett’s involvement in the sportfishing industry and to him, Galati Yacht Sales is second to none. “I am proud to be a member of Team Galati and am excited to share my knowledge, resources, and talent with new and seasoned boat owners.”
