From within a few days after Sean was born he was on a sailboat headed from Seattle across the Straights of Juan de Fuca to Victoria BC on a Columbia 26 in the middle of February.

Sean's late father being a very accomplished sailor taught him how to sail starting at the age of three years old.

At the age of three "I can remember my father telling me to do this and that, pull on this or let go of that.

Put me in the families sailing dinghy and pushed me off the dock". The rest is history

By the age of 7 Sean was taking part in Jr. Races and by the age of 10 he was racing Lasers now known as the ILCA and just kept going from there.

Sean went on to taking part in numerous local buoy and distance races around the Puget Sound Region of Washington State such as the Swiftsure Lightship Classic to the Van Isle 360 and the Southern Straight's Regatta. Sean has taken part as crew and as skipper in some of the most prestigious ocean regattas including Vic Maui, Trans Pac, Sydney to Hobart, Fastnet and a several Trans Atlantic Regattas sailing on Cal 40's, Santa Cruz 70's Erikson 32 Olson 30's Grey Beard a custom Ferrocement Yacht out of Vancouver BC just to name a few.

It doesn't end there.

Sean is also an avid fisherman attempting to deplete the waters of Washington State of their piscatorial inhabitants. "To say I am an avid fisherman is an understatement". Sean took his love of Piscatorial therapy and became a volunteer fishing guide to help fellow first responders recover from mental injuries such as PTSD and Anxiety.

Being a former firefighter and knowing first hand what our First Responders go through everyday Sean also became a First Responder Peer Support Advocate.

Fast forward to August of 2023. Sean was involved in a serious injury car accident which left him near paralyzed for 3+ months.

Realizing he would never be able to return to Heavy Civil Engineering Construction he has turned to his life experience of sailing, cruising, yachting and fishing to help others enjoy the excitement of being on the water as he has.
