Captain Albert, as he is known in the yachting industry, brings 24 years of experience in yacht management, operation, refits, and charters, plus personal relationships within all aspects of the industry. He is a graduate of the Yacht Broker’s Institute.
Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Albert practically grew up on the water. His childhood was spent on his father’s sportfishing boats cruising the Caribbean from the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico to the Virgin, Windward and Leeward Islands. In 1998, Albert obtained his Master 100 Ton license. By day he ran sport fishing and sailing catamaran charters and at night he captained 200-passenger ferries.
Once he obtained his Master 200 Ton license, he began work as a delivery captain delivering new yachts from U.S shipyards to their owners in the Caribbean and Central America as well as a part-time yacht broker for local dealers. This experience allowed Albert to expand his cruising repertoire to include the Eastern Seaboard, Florida’s West Coast, The Bahamas, Mexico, Panama, and Costa Rica. After acquiring his 3000 Ton Master Captain’s license, Albert made his home in the yachting industry. He has spent the subsequent years running both charter and private yachts, including the 120-foot custom Hargrave (LA VIDA), 112-foot Westport (ESTANCIA), 143-foot Trinity (BIG CITY), 130-foot Westport (AMARULA SUN), and a 164-foot Trinity (AMARULA SUN).
Albert’s best attribute is the ability to provide a prospective buyer with first-hand knowledge, on best fit, quality, operation, and maintenance costs to match the client with the yacht that best fits their needs.
