While this is a very versatile yacht offering a ride that is virtually unmatched. Manufactured when boats were just different than they are today, much larger, wider with a completely different appeal than today's vessels offer. You won't find a large yacht of this class that runs as soundly as this one does. You don't know, until you know. This is different. 

The 60' Viking Cockpit Sports Yacht was offered with an 820HP MAN engine package which was considered "under powered", the 1050 HP MAN engine package which cruises around 24-25 knots with a maximum speed of about 30 knots. Viking also offered the MAN 1200 HP engine package which although will get an additional 2 knots at the top end, many considered that for the extra fuel that it sucks down, it wasn't worth the additional 2 knots at the top end. This boat has the 1050 HP engine package which is considered to be the ideal package for this boat. I mean, with it, you are getting 30 knots on this huge yacht...should be enough.
