Sturdy, seaworthy center cockpit yacht built by the Swedish quality yard Hallberg-Rassy. The Hallberg-Rassy 53 is a reliable, safe Bluewater cruiser for long hauls with a small crew. The deep center cockpit with fixed windscreen and high coaming provides good protection, and wide, unobstructed running decks allow safe movement even in rough conditions. The Hallberg-Rassy 53 was designed by Argentine star- designer Germán Frers and built under the supervision of Germanischer Lloyd (GL). Large diesel and freshwater tank capacities ensure a high degree of
autonomy, and there is plenty of storage space throughout the vessel in lockers, drawers, and storage compartments. The level of craftsmanship in boatbuilding at the traditional Hallberg-Rassy shipyard on the island of Orust in the Swedish Western Archipelago sets standards: the quality of the moulded GRP, the finish of the interior joinery and the standard of the technical installations are beyond question.
"Persistence" has the optional Burma-teak interior. 3 cabin layout with double side berth and additional single berth in aft cabin, U-shaped galley to starboard and two single settees to port in saloon. Both head compartments have their own showers.
