Hunter 45 Center Cockpit – Modern Comfort Meets Offshore Capability
The Hunter 45 Center Cockpit is a refined evolution of the center cockpit cruiser—designed for sailors who want to explore the world in style without sacrificing performance or ease of handling. Whether you're a seasoned liveaboard cruiser or weekend adventurer, the 45CC offers the perfect balance of smart design, luxurious comfort, and practical features that make life aboard both enjoyable and effortless.
With her sleek, low-profile silhouette—crafted by acclaimed designer Glenn Henderson—the Hunter 45CC stands out as one of the best-looking center cockpits ever built. This isn’t just a pretty yacht; her redesigned hull is more agile, more stable, and more sea-kindly than previous Hunter models, delivering superior sailing performance across a wide range of conditions.
From the moment you step aboard, it’s clear that every detail was designed with the cruising sailor in mind. The center cockpit provides excellent helm visibility and protected seating, while sail controls led aft and a B&R fractional rig make short-handed sailing a breeze. And when it’s time to relax, the 45CC truly shines below deck.
Inside, you’ll find a bright, spacious interior that feels more like a luxury apartment than a typical 45-foot sailboat. Large fixed windows flood the salon with natural light, enhancing the sense of openness. The private aft owner’s suite is a standout, featuring a centerline island berth, generous storage, and an en suite head with a separate stall shower. Forward, the guest cabin offers equal comfort and privacy.
With low-maintenance exterior finishes, a shoal draft keel for expanded cruising grounds, and high-end systems throughout, the Hunter 45CC is the ultimate platform for long-range cruising or elegant liveaboard living.
Owner's Comments
After an incredible year and half circumnavigating the Caribbean aboard Momentum, it's time for her next adventure. We hope to give someone else a chance to experience the magic of liveaboard cruising that Momentum has brought us.
Beginning in Florida, we refitted Momentum with plans to set sail for Grenada before the Atlantic hurricane season. From the lush rainforests and cascading waterfalls of Grenada and Martinique, to the breathtaking vistas atop Peggie Peak in Bequia, Momentum carried us to some of the Caribbean's most awe-inspiring natural wonders. The vibrant reefs and sea turtles of the Tobago Cays National Park remain etched in our memory. And the seemingly endless beaches, bonfires, and fishing in the Exumas - all practically to ourselves - created unforgettable moments.
Throughout it all, Momentum proved herself time and time again. Her spacious interior was comfortable, she handled a range of sea states with ease. The boat's upgrades and customizations - detailed in the specs below - made liveaboard life very comfortable.
