CONSTRUCTION
This boat is a classic Downeast lobster boat hull that has been modified as a pleasure cruiser having three staterooms below with a full galley in the wheelhouse. Her hull is traditionally built with cedar planking, oak frames, stem, and keel. Bronze fastened. The decks are Douglas fir with marine plywood and fiberglass. Oak guard rails and toe rails covered with bronze half oval.
The wheelhouse and cabin sides are mahogany, Douglas fir sole. The three windows in the wooden windshield each have electric wipers with the starboard opening window. The port and starboard forward windows are sliding. The double doors lead to the cockpit, the coaming of which is painted white, and the platform is painted gray. Aft of the transom is the teak swim platform with a starboard transom door to the cockpit.
The flybridge sole and cabintop are oak framed with marine plywood glassed over. There are varnished mahogany handrails along wheelhouse and cabin tops, port and starboard.
ENGINE
2006 Yanmar diesel, 6-cylinder, 350 HP. 2.53:1 ZF transmission. Freshwater heat exchanger, wet exhaust. Twin Racor oil filters. 2" stainless steel shaft , dripless seal stuffing box, cutlass bearing, to the 4-blade bronze propeller. Hydraulic ram steering and two steering stations. Engine hours are 1843.

Five batteries: two 8Ds for the house, new in 2020; two 8Ds for the engine and one 6D for the 5 kw Northern Light Genset generator with 709 hours. Batteries are boxed and secured. Large AC and DC panels. Two Master switches
ACCOMMODATIONS
Starting in the forward cabin and aft of the rope locker is the forward stateroom with two vee berths with cushions, lockers port and starboard above the berths. Additional storage lockers under each berth. Cabintop hatch above. Custom seat next to port with drawers below. To starboard is a hanging locker. Past the privacy door, next aft to starboard is a guest head with sink, and flush. Following is the master head with a full shower, flush, and sink with hatch above. To port is a single stateroom with outboard cabinet, storage under the berth, and vanity also with shelving. Hatch above. Last aft in the cabin is the double berth to port, and a spacious area to starboard to use as needed. The cabin is painted white with varnished mahogany trim and has 6'7" headroom throughout.
Up companionway steps is the wheelhouse with the helm to starboard. Varnished mahogany helm station with steering wheel, gauges, and instruments mounted on dash. Aft of the helm seat is the galley sink and Force 10 stove and oven. Formica counter, drawers below, shelving above. To port is the full-size refrigerator, dinette forward with navigator seat in forward wheelhouse to port. A very bright space with 6'3" headroom.
Out the double aft doors to the spacious cockpit. A stern seat with cushions is aft with a transom door to the swim platform. Cockpit sole is Douglas fir painted gray. The flybridge stainless steel ladder is to port. The upper helm is built into the varnished mahogany console with full instrumentation. Cushioned seating for several. Recent gray canvas flybridge cover.
Mounted on the cabin top is a mast and boom to lift an inflatable dinghy aboard (not included). Stainless steel stanchions and railing are mounted on the outside of the 20" wide decks from the aft wheelhouse. Radar dome is centerline forward of the flybridge.
All woodwork on this boat is traditionally and custom built. The engine, generator, transmission, and shaft are easily accessed. If you are looking for a seaworthy cruising boat to enjoy voyages in comfort , this Downeaster may be worth your consideration.
