Description
"OMURAMBA" a 1970 Swan 43 that has been well maintained by its owner cruising the waters of the northeast and Virgin Islands for the last 20 years. A new phase in life calls and OMURAMBA is ready for a new younger owner to continue to enjoy her. The Swan 43 known for ocean racing back in its day she is set up for cruising with a swept fin keel, a skeg hung rudder well aft and a hull design that is sea worthy and sea kindly. Boats built in the late sixtes early seventies were extremely overbuilt by modern standards.
She has a lot of miles under her keel but the owner has completed major restoration of the decks, toe rails, chainplats, mast, rigging and electrical systems. A new Volvo Penta 50 HP diesel inboard motor with all new drive components and maxi prop was installed in 2016 that has 350 hours on it. She has a nice complement of marine electronics, an Aries self steering wind vane, an Airex wind generator system and a recent canvas dodger not to mention a new fore and head stay this past season for precautionary measure.
Shown by appointment she is on the hard for the winter located at Safe Harbors Bruce and Johnsons Marina, Branford, CT.
