Price: $700,000

Location: Saint Petersburg, FL

Length: 47 ft

Overview

Meet Hawkeye, a 2023 Island Packet 439 that combines bluewater capability with luxurious cruising comfort. Commissioned in November 2022 with nearly every available option, she represents an exceptional opportunity to own a late-model Island Packet at a significant savings over new construction. Hawkeye is turnkey and ready for her next adventure.

Why Hawkeye Stands Out

  • Low hours on Yanmar 80 hp engine (602) and Northern Lights 6 kW generator (26)
  • All three sails feature electric furlers and powered winches
  • Made in the USA by Island Packet Yachts of Largo, FL
  • Original owner selected almost every factory option- would cost close to $1M to build today, with a wait time for delivery.
  • Currently berthed in Saint Petersburg, FL, a year-round cruising ground.
  • Current Slip may be available
  • Dove Gray / Light Oak interior package create a bright and airy interior ambience.

Broker's Notes

I'm more than just the listing broker for Hawkeye. Since the fall of 2022, I have been entrusted by her owner to care for and maintain this beautiful boat as if she were mine. Over the past three years, I have gained an intimate knowledge of every onboard system and have had the honor and privilege to sail Hawkeye in a variety of conditions. I can confidently say she represents the very best of what this respected builder set out to achieve- bluewater capability, practical design, and true liveaboard comfort.

This particular 439 has been meticulously cared for, not just as a vessel, but as a trusted partner in adventure. Every system has been thoughtfully maintained, and many options reflect real-world cruising experience rather than dockside wishlists. From the robust rigging and easily managed sail plan to the spacious, light-filled interior, she strikes a perfect balance between performance and livability. The engine room is clean and accessible, and every locker tells the story of smart ownership and time at sea.

Although she never strayed more than 50 nautical miles from her her berth in St. Petersburg, Hawkeye is fully-equipped for passagemaking and is ready for the next adventure. Whether you're planning offshore passages or looking for a safe, proven platform to explore coastal waters in comfort, this 439 stands out. It's rare to find a boat that inspires confidence the moment you step aboard, but this one truly does. If you're looking for a yacht that’s been loved, understood, and prepared with intention, you owe it to yourself to see her.

Construction

This is the 10th hull in the 439 series manufactured by Island Packet Yachts. Construction highlights include:

  • One-piece hull and keel: 100% hand-laminated, high-modulus knitted fiberglass using a proprietary pressure-fed infusion system for optimal strength and resin control.
  • Ballast: 12,000 pounds of fully-encapsulated lead ballast forms a double bottom- no keel bolts to corrode, loosen, or worry about offshore.
  • Rudder: Skeg-hung for protection and directional control in heavy conditions.
  • Composite materials: Coosa Composite replaces marine plywood for better durability and zero rot.
  • Hull Structure: Molded fiberglass structural grid is fully bonded to the hull and bulkheads, forming an incredibly stiff and unified structure.
  • Fiberglass Reinforcement: Tri-axial woven roving fiberglass for superior strength in multiple directions.
  • Resins: Premium vinyl ester resins throughout for maximum resistance to water intrusion.
  • Chainplates: 316L annealed stainless, bonded and interlocked directly to the hull for unmatched strength- Island Packet’s "belt-and-suspenders" approach.
  • Gelcoat & Hull Protection: Hydrashield gelcoat system with exceptional color retention.
  • Deck Laminate: Features Divinycell core, virtually eliminating the risk of core rot and delamination.
  • Deck Surface: Two-tone light ivory deck with tan diamond-pattern non-skid- both attractive and functional.
  • Deck-to-Hull Joint: Secured with mechanical fasteners and urethane adhesive sealant; hardware backed with aluminum plates as needed.
  • Headliner: Molded fiberglass headliner with a clean, textured finish- easy to maintain and resistant to moisture and mildew.
