Since 2007 she has been lightly sailed as part of a liveaboard sailing school program, benefiting from consistent care, knowledgeable oversight, and routine improvements. Owners Comments and Boat History
In 2007, l purchased the boat from Moorings in St. Maarten. The boat was used each winter for ASA sailing classes in the BVI and USVI by Port Sailing School. I own Port Sailing School. The boat was sailed from the USVI to Florida in 2017 prior to hurricane Irma and Maria and returned back in December 2017.
Marissa has been well maintained as a sailing school boat. It was critical to have the boat ready for our 7 day liveaboard classes. Four weeks per winter months. A captain/ instructor and a mate taught the students. She sails very well off shore in ocean conditions. Reefing is easy. The dual helms make visibility easy. The boat can be sailed by one person.
