Description

Introducing “Gone with the Wind”, a Seaward 32RK. The Seaward 32Rk is a recreational lifting keel boat known for its versatility and shallow-water capabilities.

Here are some key details about this vessel:

Design and Construction:

The Seaward 32RK is predominantly constructed of fiberglass, with wood trim.

It features a masthead sloop rig, complete with a bowsprit.

The boat’s design includes a plumb stem, a vertical walk-through transom, and a lifting, transom-hung rudder controlled by a wheel.

Notably, the Seaward 32RK boasts a lifting keel with a weighted bulb, which can be adjusted using an electric winch. Stainless steel wire used to lift the keel was replaced with Dyneema when Nick Hake added a customized full-bulb keel to her.

Retracting Keel: The “RK” in its name stands for “retracting keel.”

This innovative feature allows you to lower your keel to your desired depth (within reason) and raise it again when water conditions become shallower.

A simple electric winch facilitates the keel’s movement, making it easy to adapt to varying depths.

Trailerable and Self-Contained:

The Seaward 32RK is designed for ease of trailering. She comes with a 2017 Sail Trailer 14,000 lbs. trailer and customized rigging for the mast which adds to the versatility of the vessel.

A couple can hoist the mast and launch the boat without needing a boatyard or additional assistance.

If you want to sail and gunk-hole too, this is the boat for you. This shoal draft lifting keel boat will take on some amazing adventures. Drawing only 1 ft. 8 in. with the keel all the way up and 6 ft. 5 in. when fully lowered you can go from the beach or up creeks to open water and anywhere in between.

Explore the Chesapeake Bay, Florida Flats, Barnegat Bay, Biscayne Bay, Pamlico Sound or any draft challenged area in Gone with the Wind....effortlessly change drafts with the electric keel winch (operable from cockpit with remote).

She has a myriad of upgrades and is well maintained!
