GENERAL OVERVIEW
A-LURE is a great example of a very rare Eastern Casco Bay 35. With her beautiful burgundy "Awlgriped" hull and flybridge make here stand out in the crowd. She has a modified deep-V hull and single engine lobster boat design making her a nice performing, fuel efficient yacht. Her current owners have both fished a lot and just completed the "Great Loop" so her air draft is low enough for that trip. Her cockpit is quit large with built in 7 draw tackle box beneath the flybridge ladder, fish box under the sole with pumpout, livewell built into the transom and a small door providing indoor rod storage. When fishing there are 8 gunnel mounted rod holders, 10 ladder mounted and outriggers.
Now, up the ladder to the flybridge. This is a nicely designed ladder with very wide, deep steps with a good handrail that angles forward at the top making for good flybridge access and great all round visibility. Once up there the bridge decking is newly installed fake teak providing a great footing and nice custom look. Seating is provided with two "Todd 1500" helm chairs and a bench seat with back rest and storage inside. For sun protection there there is a collapsible bimini with boot when not in use. For all antenna's there is a radar tower located behind the bench seat and 6 more rail mounted rod holders.
Entering the cabin the layout is a simple, straight line design with settee on the port side that folds out to make a double berth and has doored storage beneath. At the forward end of the settee is located a forward facing companion seat. On the starboard side there is a two person table that converts to a single berth with storage beneath forward seat is storage and the aft seat a refrigerator. Forward of the dinette is the helm station which has the ability to tilt back for full accessibility to wiring, steering and throttle controls. The panel has full instrumentation for both navigation and a full array of analog engine gauges. On the inboard side of the helm are located both the 12v. and 120v. breaker panels.
Moving forward and down 3 short steps to port is a compact galley. Within this space you will find a second refrigerator and storage beneath the counter, and on the counter there is a large single bowl stainless steel sink and a single burner glass top stove. Above the counter is more storage and a built in microwave oven. Just forward of this is a tall hanging locker that divides the galley from the V-berth on the port side.
To head is located to starboard and just forward of the helm. This is quite large for a 35' lobster boat. There is a good size counter which has a oval, stainless steel sink and ample storage both above and below, just forward of this a separate stall shower with a teak seat, and the toilet is a Vac-U-Flush unit.
Cabin sole through out the yacht is teak and holly plank with teak trim used through-out. The salon overhead has two full length handrails as well as two (6) loop rod holders
