The Hunter 340 is a comfortable masthead sloop with an easy-to-handle design that has stood up well to time. Their 1997 model lives up to its title of racer-cruiser, the former denoting its efficiency upwind and ease of handling owing to its fractional rig sailplan and the latter coming from, among other things, its spacious cockpit and salon with 6’4” of headroom. This boat is currently being sold by its third owner. According to the second owner, who acquired the boat in 2017, the electronics, mixing elbow, engine motor mounts, and jib were replaced in 2018/2019.

Survey notes

The hull is free from cracks and appeared on the haul-out to be in excellent

condition. According to the vessel’s second owner, and apparent in the

condition of the hull, the bottom was soda blasted and refinished between 2017

and 2019. This is a significant addition to the life of this vessel. The hull is free

from cracks, dings, and soft spots; acoustic tests revealed no deviations above

or below the waterline. Some hairline cracks in decking.
