This 31 BHM was designed by Spencer Lincoln and built in two stages: The solid fiberglass hull and the deck assembly were built in 1987 by BHM, sold as a kit and put into inside storage with a new 210 Cummins diesel, until 2021 when her current owner purchased the kit and spent 3 yrs finishing her.

CONSTRUCTION
The hull and deck were built in 1987 by BHM in Brooklin, Maine, with a solid fiberglass hull and a cored deck assembly, this boat was then put into a shop to finish by her owner. An engine and transmission were included with the kit at the time. In 2021, the current and second owner bought her, designed and built the interior, installed the reconditioned engine and transmission, and finished the boat in 2024. Everything inside the boat is new. All the rails outside the hull are PVC with stainless steel guards. On the transom is a portside door.
The pilothouse and forward cabin are built of fiberglass with Divinycell core. Handrails are mounted on port and starboard exterior sides.The sole is Nautic Floor Composite teak and black. The windows are aluminum framed with safety glass.
The flybridge is accessed from the cockpit by a port side stainless steel ladder with teak treds. The flybridge features a helm with crew bench seats.
ENGINE
The engine is a 1987 Cummins 6B5.9, 210 HP, 6 cylinders, Serial #44207600. Borg Warner 72 series 2.5:1 transmission. Stainless steel 1 1/2" shaft swinging a 26x28x4-blade LH propeller.
TANKS
Fuel: 200 gallons in two fiberglass tanks
Water: 70 gallons in plastic HTP
Hot Water: 6 gallons in ISOTEMP SPA 20L heater
Holding: One integrated tank in composting flush
ELECTRIC
DC: Two 12v 8D batteries, Glass Matt, for start and house. Thermal multi strand wiring, alternator, master switch 1-2-Both, 30 amp shore power.
AC: Northern Lights M673L3.3G, 4.5 kw
ACCOMMODATIONS
In the cabin aft of the rope locker is the enclosed head with composting flush and integrated holding tank. Next aft to starboard are the two berths, up and down, both 6'2" long with upholstered cushions and mahogany bunk boards. To port is the cabin sink with hot and cold pressure water, a granite counter, mirror up, and storage below. Next to port is an enclosed shower with seat. The cabin has 6'3" headroom, varnished custom trim, LED lighting, overhead opening hatch, MarineAir heat and air conditioning, and teak Nautic Floor Composite.
Up the companionway stairs is the wheelhouse with custom varnished mahogany woodwork with the helm to starboard with cushioned helm seat and to port a double cushioned seat. The windows are aluminum framed with safety glass. The two outboard windshield windows have electric wipers and washers. Three windows port and starboard, two windows aft with the glass door to the cockpit centerline, all have mirrored reflections. The wheelhouse forward side windows are opening, as are the two aft facing the cockpit. The MarineAir heat and air conditioning duct vent. The headliner is varnished mahogany. Aft of the helm seat is a cushioned settee that converts to a double berth. A storage shelf underneath is for the large custom painted and carved dining pedestal table. LED lights throughout the wheelhouse. The headroom is 6'3"
Out the center aft door is the mahogany-trimmed cockpit, 10'3" L x 9 1/2' wide with a port transom door. The side decks are 10 1/2" wide with gray molded-in nonskid that lead to the fore deck with a stainless steel bit, chaulks port and starboard and anchor windlass to the anchor mounted on the pulpit. Stainless steel handrails are on the wheelhouse and cabin tops. A new liferaft is strapped onto the cabin top.
Up the stainless steel ladder with teak treds to the flybridge with varnished mahogany trim. A 3-person bench seat is mounted for captain and two others. Full instrumentation and radio. The radar mast is aft with antennae and dome.
