CONSTRUCTION
First introduced in 1955, the Dyer 29 is the longest production boat in the history of fiberglass boat building. Built in Warren, Rhode Island, these boats have a solid fiberglass hull with a fiberglass deck assembly that is balsa cored. A great Downeast design that goes through the water smoothly.
ENGINE
The engine is a 2019 Volvo D3-200HP fresh water cooled via heat exchanger, 282 engine hours. Hydraulic steering--new 2019, stainless steel shaft 1 1/2" and a 4-blade bronze propeller with cutters. Racor 500 filter. Sidepower bow thruster with joy stick control.

Fuel: 46 gallons in two 23-gallon polyethalene tanks, 2019.
Water: 20 gallons in a tank in a polyurethane tank

ACCOMMODATIONS
In the forward cabin, aft of the anchor rope locker are two vee berths that can be converted to a double berth, storage below. The opening hatch and two ports with screens provide nice light and ventilation. Reading lights, port and storage on bulkhead over the berths. Next aft to starboard is a built-in shelving unit followed by the enclosed head with a manual Raritan HP-II marine flush with holding tank. To port after the vee berths is the galley with Formica counter, stainless steel sink with hand pump, alcohol 2-burner stove with outboard open shelves for galley ware storage. A cabin heater is mounted in the aft cabin. The cabin headroom is 6' with a total of four opening ports with screens. Varnished teak trim throughout with white bulkheads and a teak cabin sole. An attractive and compact cabin.
Up the companionway steps with the electrical panel mounted. In the wheelhouse to starboard is the helm is to starboard with instruments mounted on the dash as well as overhead. Electric windshield wipers for both windows and sliding side windows port. The starboard side wheelhouse is open with the option to unroll a clear plastic curtain.Two pedestal seats--one mounted to the sole for the captain and the other is mounted on the forward engine box cover. Custom cushions provide comfortable seating there and on the custom stern seat aft. The headroom at the helm is 6'3. 10" wide side decks lead up to the fore deck with a stainless steel bow rail forward and handrails on the shelter top. Stainless steel deck hardware and half oval on the PVC guard rail, and a teak swim platform aft with dinghy davits.
