Description

This 2008 True World Marine TE-2810, 28' sportfishing boat with 116 hours on the new Yanmar 315 turbo-diesel engine, is a fishing machine for near shore and offshore anglers. The "Smooth Operator" is a one owner vessel and has been meticulously maintained and repowered in the fall of 2023. The Yanmar engine is center mounted and very fuel efficient. The 2810 inboard has a Vetus bow thruster, making it easy to dock.

This is a great riding vessel with the engine weight in the middle for stability, leaving a large wide-open cockpit for fishing or cruising. These fiberglass boats are well built with high gunwales and high stainless 316 bow rails from the cockpit to the bow that provide security using the wide walkaround, a true walkaround, not a "crawl-around" like many other boats in this class. This boat is turnkey with many upgrades besides the new engine: custom dashboard, 12" touchscreen Garmin gps/chartplotter/fishfinder, Furuno fishfinder, Lewmar windlass, custom folding tower with 4 stainless rod holders, full enclosure, Taco Grand Slam GS390 outrigger mounts/poles/kit, VHF, cabin heater, 3 deep cycle marine batteries, circulation tank heater, saltwater washdown livewell, 8 deck mounted stainless rod holders, 8 stainless rod holders on rocket launcher and more. The owner has been fishing up to 80 miles east of Virginia Beach fishing from the Norfolk Canyon to Hatteras Canyon.

Owner painted the prop, rudder, shaft and trim tabs with Pettit Prop Coat Barnacle Barrier in 2022. Vessel has been kept on a lift for many years.

Does not come with a trailer.

Owner has digital maintenance and service records. He has conveyed that he will have an initial open line of communication to whoever purchases Smooth Operator.

    Engine

The original Yanmar engine had an engine failure at 1604 hours. The owner replaced it with a new Yanmar 315 turbo-charged engine. The new engine was installed in July 2023 and you can see from the photos the new hoses and the cleanliness of the engine. It was manufactured in 2022.

The Yanmar panel was not changed with the new engine installation. Currently there are 1720 hours listed on the gauge. The new engine now has 116 hours.
