There’s a good reason why the Supra Launch 22 SSV is Supra Boats’ all-time best seller — high performance + strong value = popularity. And when you add all the extras that come with the new 2008 Worlds Edition package, it’s a simple equation for wakeboarding satisfaction.

Hull: There’s a lot going on below the water line on the Supra Launch 22 SSV. With a significant deadrise, a water-pushing drop keel and strakes modified to diminish lift; this hull is tailor-made with monster wakes in mind. And with all three design elements working together, the end result is great performance.

Ballast: The standard factory ballast system is a triple threat, with one bag located in the bow and a pair tucked alongside the engine. When all are fully loaded, you’ll have 1,450 wake-building pounds of ballast to play with, creating a range of ramp sizes to please — and challenge — all breeds of riders.

Tower: The upgraded Rad-a-Cage tower on our Worlds Edition Supra Launch 22 SSV test model came fully loaded — just the way we like it. It boasted custom black swivel board racks, a four-speaker light bar with blazing LEDs, four booming Kicker speakers and a shiny stainless mirror bracket, all anchored by the super versatile Z-5 cargo rack.

Wake shaper: Our high-end test model came packing the hydraulic Smart Plate, and it’s a winner. Wakeboarders can tweak the plate in relation to the PerfectPass speed control, creating personalized conditions with the touch of a button. And with up to eight personalized presets available, all your usual suspects will get exactly the wake they want.

Highlight feature: The Worlds package upgrades the Supra Launch 22 SSV to be exactly like the model used at the ’07 WWA World Wakeboard Championships. Lots of upgrades, with highlights including custom gelcoat, black racks, black light bar, 340 horsepower ETX CAT engine and Worlds decals.

The wake: The Supra Launch 22 SSV is Women’s WWA World Champ (and Supra pro wakeboarder) Amber Wing’s personal favorite, and for good reason. The ramps are fully customized and versatile enough for many different riding styles. At factory ballast, we thought the wake was a tad steep, but the clean lips, long transitions and nice double-ups more than made up for it.
