The materials down below reflect the thought that went into the design of this Formosa 47, with warm, carefully built cabinetry, drawers and teak and holly sole below, with an eye for detail. This will make a great blue water cruiser, live aboard, or perhaps a great charter vessel.
She is on the hard, and sold to the current owners 2 years ago after engine, generator and all systems were checked out.
In those past 2 years the new owners had a number of upgrades performed, planning to do some extensive cruising. Health issues have changed their plans, and this wonderful blue water yacht is back on the market.

She is a cutter rig providing a variety of sail configurations when under way.
She is powered by an inboard 6 cylinder Ford Lehman Model
2712E diesel engine. She also has a Fischer Panda 4kw generator
The aluminum mast is keel stepped and there is a Harken spinnaker pole track on the
mast with an extruded aluminum boom. There is a spinnaker pole.
The stays are stainless steel wire and replaced around 2000.
The turnbuckles are stainless steel open barrel design
Chainplates appear to be in good condition.
On the deck forward there are two Schaefer single line furlers.
All halyards and sheets are colored braid and appear to be in good condition.
The life lines are stainless steel.
There are five Aqualast and Barlow winches on both sides of the cockpit. One winch is 12
volt DC powered. The following are mast mounted winches - Barlow 24 & 19; Two Aqualast 37
All running rigging lines lead back to the cockpit area.
