Description

White Wings / History and Recent Work

The heritage of the Bridges Point 24’s (being designed by Brooklin Boat Yard founder Joel White and built here in Brooklin, Maine) speaks for itself and with over 80 boats being built there is no doubt that the B24’s one of the best choices that can be made for someone looking for a classic daysailer with the deciding factor being the care that has been taken with the boats both long term and continuing / recent upgrading.

White Wings was first built for and owned by a well-known New England sailor and yacht broker who had a strong hand in the design of the sail plan allowing for optimum performance for summer light airs. Under this ownership, White Wings was exceptionally well taken care of over the years and lightly used with the boat being actively used only every other season for the last 11 years of the original ownership.

White Wings current owner has followed in this tradition as can be seen in the work done over the last few years (see below). White Wings is very much ready for her next season with varnish work completed and hull buffed / waxed, there is little to do apart from normal spring commissioning to be out and sailing.
