The Tayana 37, designed by renowned yacht designer Robert Perry, was one of the most successful production offshore cruising designs.
Many Tayana 37's have been circumnavigated and they continue to be highly sought after by those looking to bluewater cruise.
Construction
Grey fiberglass hull; cream fibreglass non-skid decks; blue cove stripe; blue boot top; red bottom; full keel; fiberglass rudder; bow & stern pulpit; double lifelines w/two gates; wheel steering; emergency tiller; pilothouse enclosure; Bimini; two hatches; ten opening ports.
Accommodations
This yacht sleeps seven (7).
One manual head w/y-valve. Sink, vanity & shower.
Galley is equipped with single stainless steel sink; 12/110 volt refrigeration; freezer; three burner propane stove w/oven; 60 gallon water capacity; hot & cold pressure water.
Interior appointments include: Newport propane heating; light blue fabric upholstery; wood cabin sole.
Engine and Electrical
1979 Perkins 50hp inboard fresh water cooled diesel (rebuilt 2015); cruising speed is 5 knots @ 2000 RPM; three bladed fixed propeller; raw water filter; bilge blower; fume detector; propane/CO/high water in bilge.
The electrical system is maintained through the charging of 6-12 volt batteries; battery charger; 12/110 volt electrical panel; polarity indicator; 110 volt shore power w/cord; trickle charger; inventor; cabin, navigation, spreader & anchor lights.
