Description

This beauty was designed and owned by L. Francis Herreshoff!! She was built by the Luders Yard and reportedly was used for a time as a pace boat for the Harvard University crew team in Massachusetts.

Was purchased in 1978 and totally rebuilt her over the years, launching her in 1992 with a layout that is designed for coastal cruising and comfort on the inland waterways. The interior layout is absolutely stunning with many different kinds of varnished woods as well as a working wood stove. This boat would really fit PERFECTLY in any Boat show and could also be used as a floating hotel suite.

Her rebuild was done using the cold molded epoxy method with 3 layers of strip planked Philippine mahogany and bronze fasteners. With a mahogany hull that is bronze fastened and encapsulated in epoxy, she is completely watertight when launched and does not need the maintenance or soaking typically needed by wooden boats. Over 400k invested about 20 years ago. Has been in storage for 15 years.

She has a 1984 low hours 75 HP Westerbeke model W-70 4 cyl diesel engine that moves her with ease, 50 gal. fuel tank,
