The dinette in the saloon, which can seat seven people easily, incorporates a settee that is also long enough to sleep the odd guest. This Bavaria 40 steps lift to reveal more of the Volvo Penta engine than most companionway hatches do - you can clamber in if you need to - and there are additional access panels in the aft cabins.
