Built in the early 90s by Lou Rambo, the 27’ Rambo was designed with commercial fishing in mind. Every aspect of the build was tailored towards efficiency, speed, and the ability to perform under any conditions with a single engine while carrying a lot of weight. At the time, the highest horsepower engine available was 235 hp and most of the early builds were only outfitted with 200 hp. With higher horsepower outboards available today, the boat’s performance numbers have grown exponentially. With a 300 hp engine, the boat will comfortably cruise at 30 mph in the neighborhood of 3.8 mpg.
Over many years of progression, the demand for a comfortable family friendly recreational center console grew. Rambo has perfected the vessel with high end fit and finishes. New molds were built in the early 2000s redesigning the inner liner and cap for fully molded 3-piece construction.
The Rambo-27 is a true testament to the art of boat building. Constructed with 100% hand-laid fiberglass, this boat offers a perfect balance of strength and weight. Its non-skid deck ensures a secure footing even in challenging conditions.
