Rob Creech
A native of Savannah, Georgia, Rob, a service disabled veteran, is a 25 year veteran of the yachting and maritime industry. In 1990 he commissioned as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy and went to sea in USS Horne spending over 1080 days at sea. As a junior officer he completed all requirements for Command-At-Sea. He is a qualified naval engineer in steam, diesel and gas turbine applications. He was also qualified as a 3rd Mate Unlimited OC. He holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees (MBA).
His love and passion for the yachting industry led him to the super yacht repair and refit industry where he developed and led a team that acquired an extant shipyard and began operations in 2004 as Global Ship Systems, LLC. As Managing Partner he led complex refits of yachting industry stalwarts M/Y Blue Moon, M/Y Helios2, M/Y Lady Joy, M/Y Reverie, M/Y Domani, M/Y Princes Mariana, S/Y Fleurtje and countless others.
He has worked shoulder to shoulder with Management companies and owners to ensure the highest quality workmanship. In 2007, he led the refit of M/Y Helios2 which was honored with the ShowBoats International Best Refit/Reconfiguration Award.
He spent 15 years as a Pilotage Commissioner for the Port of Savannah where he worked with one of the oldest pilot’s associations in the United States to develop rules for the association, review mishaps and provide statutory oversight of the Bar of Savannah and all vessels over 100 tons requiring compulsory pilotage.
Rob’s industry knowledge coupled with a detailed, sincere approach, sense of duty and personal integrity foster relationships built on trust and performance. His diligence will drive success on either a buy side or sell side transaction.
