After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill, Lenny started teaching and coaching in high school in North Carolina and Virginia. Three years later he opted for a business career and got into the automobile business. He owned and operated a GM dealership and leasing company in upstate New York for eighteen years. During this time he kept a boat in the Bahamas for get-aways from the frigid winters.

In 1984 he sold his dealership then took his boat cruising for three years. Ending his cruise in Wrightsville Beach in 1987, he started a delivery business and later managed a local marina. Realizing that he never wanted to be far from boats he started Maritime Yacht Brokerage. After fifteen years in business, each year being better than the one before, Lenny decided to merge his business with United Yacht so that his customers could benefit from Maritime’s affiliation with a large, national brokerage. The firm advertises heavily in national media and on the internet, providing sellers unsurpassed levels of quality marketing. The firm and all of its brokers are also members of every marine database in the industry.

An avid boater all his life, Lenny has a general and broad marine background. As is true of many yacht brokers, Lenny has an aptitude and interest in helping people while putting his knowledge to good use. Lenny’s philosophy is that a broker should use every tool he has at his disposal to educate his client completely about current market conditions.
