Throughout his life Will’s parents have owned a variety of sail, ski, and fishing boats in the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, the Carolinas, and the Caribbean. Family vacations included chartering in the Virgin Islands, St. Lucia, the Bahamas and Jamaica. Will developed a love of the water at a very young age and chose to pursue a career as a captain after graduating from the College of Charleston in 2005. As a lifelong sailor Captain Will has traveled extensively throughout the waters of the United States and Caribbean. He has been a certified sailing instructor and licensed US Coast Guard Captain since 2006. While attending the College of Charleston Will worked at the Charleston City Marina. Annapolis, Maryland has long been referred to as the “Sailing Capital” of the United States. As a hotspot destination for sailing, Annapolis offers fishing excursions, private charters and overnight cruises for residents and travelers alike. It is often said that “All roads in Annapolis lead back to water”. Annapolis also houses BWI airport and is a great central hub to explore the surrounding areas of both Washing D.C. and Baltimore.

Helming TMC operations in Annapolis is Karl Reed, an RYA 200T Certified Captain and PADI Divemaster. As a kid, Captain Karl spent his formative years going to sailing camps along the Potomac River, near Washington, DC, and eventually transitioned into teaching at them as a summer job. Karl acquired his yachting license at the age of 18 in Cape Town from legendary Offshore Sailor & Clipper Skipper, David Immelman.

Training with Immelman further cemented Karl into sailing and eventually catapulted him into running an Expedition Yacht in the Indian Ocean & Northern Madagascar. From there, Karl gravitated back to sailing performance catamarans around the US East Coast & Caribbean, along with trans-Atlantic trips to Northern Europe. After years in the industry Karl has garnered a great group of friends and resources which have helped him continue to be able to sail, manage, & broker vessels around the world.

Captain Karl is perfectly positioned in this market to facilitate dockage as well as help to source, purchase or even sell your current catamaran. Give Karl a call next time you’re in town or looking for a new broker in the surrounding area at 703-350-8160.

Assisting customer around the Indian Ocean is helmed by TMC agent Max Bonieux, who grew up on the island of Mauritius where his family has been established for many generations. From an early age Max was comfortable on the water and was regularly seen racing Hobie cats, kitesurfing, fishing, surfing and freediving. The sea was his playground.

As a young adult, Max studied accounting and finance in Australia for four years before returning to his home country and starting his own self-storage business. At 30 years of age however, the siren song of the sea once again called to Max where his strong passion for offshore passages propelled him to begin a circumnavigation aboard his Delphia 40, “Alalila”. During this circumnavigation, Max visited several locales within pristine waters of the Indian Ocean, specifically, Mentawai, Chagos, Seychelles, Madagascar, and St. Brandon (Islands NE of Mauritius).

After crossing the Atlantic from South Africa, Max focused on skippering luxury charter catamarans. Currently, Max owns and operates a kitesurfing school and is keeping his childhood love alive. At The Multihull Company, Max wants to use his lifetime of skills, knowledge, and passion to serve people from his home Island of Mauritius where he is dedicated to assisting clients around the waters of his home country.
