Kraig Marquis
I grew up in Sebago Lake, Maine and remember my summers boating and fishing on the lake as
soon as the ice thawed. I can’t imagine a better place to grow up, but college sent me to NC
where I attended graduate school at UNC Chapel Hill. Summertime in NC meant driving 3-4
hours each way to visit the Outer Banks and other beach towns along the long NC coast. As
soon as I could save enough money from my first job out of college, I bought a small fishing
boat with an even smaller cabin. I finally had my weekend beach house – perfect for my dog and
I to get to the islands and catch a few fish! That cemented my love of being on the water and to
the decision of moving to Wrightsville Beach where I still call home. I’ve been a boat owner for
over 25 years and now a USCG licensed captain. When not working, I enjoy spending time on
my trawler and traveling from NC to the Florida Keys with good friends, family, and my yellow
lab Kali. I’m excited to share my passion for boating and making great memories on the water. I
look forward to assisting you with all your boating needs!
