Purchasing my first boat came with a steep learning curve; the confusion, fear of asking questions, and unforeseen issues cost me peace of mind and an entire season of boating. My personal boating history is evolving - we're currently preparing to trade our Sea Ray for a trawler. Some of my best memories are of chasing fish on a center console near Bloody Point, a grueling run from Annapolis to Middle River in heavy rain, 30 MPH winds and 8-foot seas, landing catfish with my grandson off the cockpit and watching ospreys teach their young to fish while I sip coffee with my lovely spouse in the fly bridge.
