Delmar “Buddy” Franks brings a powerful combination of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and hands-on marine industry experience to the American Yachts team. Known by everyone simply as “Buddy,” he is valued for his ability to think outside the box while keeping complex processes moving smoothly. Born and raised in Lee County, Florida, he has always lived close to the water—fitting for a name that translates to “of the sea” or “mariner.”
A Florida Gulf Coast University graduate with a degree in Computer Information Systems and minors in Management and Operations Management, Buddy supports both the front and back ends of every transaction. His role spans sales and closing coordination, ensuring contracts, documentation, and timelines are handled with precision, while also enhancing listings through professional boat photography, cinematic video, and drone photo and video services. By blending strategic marketing, technology, and meticulous transaction management, Buddy helps maximize listing exposure, drive stronger buyer engagement, and deliver smooth, successful closings.
