Ben Quarles grew up along the Florida Gulf Coast, where he developed a deep love for the water through activities like surfing, sailing, diving, and lifeguarding. However, it was his exposure to boating, thanks to his father, Capt. Bob Quarles, a renowned fly-fishing guide, that truly shaped his life. Ben was fortunate to spend countless hours boating, chasing redfish, trout, and tarpon with his father in the Maverick flats boat.

During high school, Ben worked as a deckhand on sportfishing vessels at the Pensacola Beach Marina, further cementing his connection to the maritime world. He also served as an ocean-rescue lifeguard at Pensacola Beach during his high school and college years. His decision to attend Florida Atlantic University's College of Business was motivated by the desire to be closer to the water and explore opportunities in the marine industry.

He discovered his passion for yacht brokerage at Florida Atlantic University and took his first steps in that direction. He graduated with his BBA with a concentration in management and entrepreneurship. Despite his educational pursuits, Ben never strayed far from his saltwater roots, as his family had a long-standing business, Woods Fisheries, focused on wild-caught gulf shrimp for five generations.

Today, Ben firmly believes that the Gulf Coast is his true home, offering a lifestyle that cannot be matched. With a background in sales and a genuine passion for boats, he found his natural fit at the United team. He believes that the key to a great boat lies in the materials, design, and meticulous attention to detail.

In business, Ben remains steadfast in his belief in the value of the old-school approach – transparency and honesty. He firmly believes in telling things the way they are, which he considers the superior way of conducting business.

With Ben's expertise and enthusiasm, he sees an opportunity to help others find their perfect boat. Let his passion be your opportunity to find your next vessel and confidently get you on the water.
