Christian has had a lifelong love affair with the ocean that started with summers spent boating and scuba diving in and on the waters of Long Island Sound and the lake outside his family home. He naturally gravitated towards the US Coast Guard where he enlisted and spent half of his career as a Boatswain’s Mate operating motor lifeboats in storms and heavy weather. While not at small boat stations he led Deck Departments and served as a Deck Watch Officer on cutters up to 270’. He received his commission as an officer and continued his career in inspections and search and rescue planning/execution. His Coast Guard inspection experience includes Commercial Fishing, Foreign Freight, Domestic Passenger and Towing Vessel Inspections. After a 23-year military career, he relocated to the US Virgin Islands and continued his professional maritime work as the Marina Manager for St Croix Marine Center. He also is a trained marine surveyor (but not practicing as one) and ABYC Standards Certified. Living in a mariner’s paradise and given his background, it was a natural next step for him to enter the world of yacht brokerage, where he hopes to share his passion for the ocean and boating with you.
