Tom had been sailing most of his life, since mastering Sunfish and Hobie Cats on the lake where he lived in upstate New York as a teenager.

An accomplished amateur windsurfing competitor for many years, he got into yacht racing in the mid-90s on the Chesapeake Bay. He has been crew or captain on racing yachts from 22 feet to 45 feet.

Tom has owned & restored five sailboats, including a Catalina 27 he raced in Annapolis, and a Capri 26 by Catalina he bought shortly after moving to Miami in 2018. He is an active member of the Coconut Grove Sailing Club, where he also provides live entertainment as the lead guitarist and singer in the house band, and as a solo performer.

Tom joins Massey Yachts after a highly successful pharmaceutical career, featuring multiple performance awards in sales and training.
