Tim was born on the south coast of England by the "Solent waters" which is the yachting capital and birth place of yachting in UK. Tim enjoyed sailing from these early days and it followed on into a career in yachting, following his fathers footsteps who has been an Associate of Luke brown since 1992.
Following the family trait with a spell in the Far East in his youth and several periods in the Med. Tim stayed in the yachting business and has lived in the USA, Croatia and now lives in Palma de Mallorca. Apart from a spell pursuing a career as a helicopter pilot in the US, Tim has stayed in the yachting industry and worked as crew and ashore in various project management roles for shipyards and owners direct.
Many aspects of the industry have been covered in one way or another and is he is currently using his engineering qualifications as the engineer on a classic motor yacht. He has experience in yard management, brokerage, crew/skippering, new build and refit design and charter. His extensive travels in Europe and other areas round the globe has given him a good appreciation of the industry and can offer clients his consultancy experience in a range in yachting associated roles
