Brokers’ comments

The 80 concept called for a light, fast, elegant and comfortable super yacht, taking the Cruiser / Racer concept to the next level - ‘Speed, seaworthiness, technology and innovation without compromise’.

UMIKO ((Ex-Conquistador, Ex-Astro, Ex-Maligaya) had an extensive refit in 2012-13. She was lightly cruised in the Balearics between 2014-18.

UMIKO sleeps up to 10 guests in 4 cabins when two crew live forward. However, 6 guest with 3 crew is recommended for maximum comfort and service.

Since August 2018, UMIKO has been incredibly successful with both cruising and racing charters in the Meditteranean and Caribbean. She has also had the benefit of numerous upgrades including AT instruments and race processor, Harken primary winches, 2018/2019 North3Di Sails, Fleet Broadband Sat Comm’s, new generator, new DC hydraulic pumps, etc.

Maintained to exacting standards this Swan will appeal to an owner looking for the very best, whether they wish to cruise, race, charter....or all of the above!

HULL & DECK

The construction is partly high tech with honeycomb cored pre-pregnated carbon fibre structural bulkheads and main deck. Carbon fibres are used to reinforce the hull stiffeners. 

Hull construction is of proven solid single skin glass fibre reinforced Vinylester laminate.

Finish:

Coloured topsides, originally in gel coat dark blue (instead of standard white) - repainted to Awlgrip Majestic blue (January 2017).

Cove stripe and boot top painted in Pale Gold Awlgrip.

Bottom paint, International Micron Extra, black.

Keel

T-Bulb keel fitted (06/2002)

Rudder and steering system:-

Carbon fibre spade rudder with two self-aligning JP3 roller bearings

Winches all upgraded from standard package:

Primary winches 2 x Harken 1111 HL hydraulic, connected to 2 removable pedestals. (New 2019)

Secondary winches 2 x Harken 1110.3 STAHY, hydraulic self tailing with top drive.

Main sheet winch Harken 1110.3, hydraulic self tailing with top drive.

Traveller winches 2 x Harken 48.2 STA.

Halyard winches 2 x Harken 980.3 STAHY, hydraulic, self-tailing including black

anodised aluminium base to be added under the winches on deck.

Additional utility winches - 2 x Harken B74.2 STA

Additional snubbing winch on centreline aft of mast, Harken 812C

4x Mast base winched bases reinforced with Carbon C-Plate bonded in 2018.

Carbon prodder / bowsprit with Harken stainless padeyes for tack and bobstay

Recessed 16” mooring cleats (bow, stern and amidships). Versare del Monte.

Fold-up seat on pushpit, both sides.

Carbon fibre radar post mounted through deck, removable and with quick connection for the cable including cover.

Gangway fitting.

Bathing ladder / side boarding ladder with teak steps.

Screw in pad-eyes for the dinghy.

Stainless steel chafing plate at anchor chain inlet at the carbon arm.

Shore power intakes through a small hatch in port side of the transom for the cables with the connection in the lazarette.

Deck prisms over the heads forward of mast.

Aft deck hatch to lazarette.

Storage locker for 2 - 8-person soft pack life raft and other safety equipment port side of companionway.

Interior forepeak fittings:

Two rails in the forepeak, one each side high up beside the chain locker (along ships, above the level of the chain locker inspection hatch).

MAIN MACHINERY AND SYSTEMS

Main Engine:

Yanmar 4LHSTP, 4 cilinder, 240Hp, new 2012. Full engine rebuild April 2022.

3 blade Gori folding propeller, serviced 2019.

Accessories on engine:

Heat exchanger for the consumable fresh water is included in the same circuit, making hot water available whenever the engine is running.

Service alternator. Removed and serviced 2022.

Service:

Engine room completely refitted 2022

Exhaust system:

Main engine exhaust outlet at the transom.

Wet exhaust system with fibreglass silencer and gas/water separator for main engine and diesel generator, cooling water is discharged below waterline, exhaust gases, discharge through transom.

Fuel:

Fuel volume 2000 Litres in stainless steel tanks.

Fuel filters:

Racor 75/500 FGX P 10 for the engine and

Racor 500 FG P for the diesel generator.
