Description

TRUE NORTH, an extremely lightly used 2019 Jeanneau 64, is an exceptional sailing yacht that combines comfort, speed and extreme ease of use. True North is exceptionally easy to sail because she has in-mast furling and a self tacking jib, both equipped with North Sails. What makes True North easy to sail is that she is loaded with some of the most expensive options offered by Jeanneau. She is equipped with a retractable stern thruster and a Harken Captive Winch (for push button mainsail sailing). True North is also equipped with the expensive Harken Hydraulic Sailing Pack which includes hydraulic boom and backstays which helps with performance sailing. For comfort while cruising the boat is also equipped with the largest generator offered, the extremely reliable Onan 21KW model (vs standard 7.5KW). All boat systems can be run off the generator at the same time. True North was also fitted with the luxury cockpit options including: Electric Grill, Refrigeration, Bar Sink and Port Retractable Cockpit table which converts into a great sun lounger. Rounding out True North is some nice upgrades the current owner recently made including all new batteries in 2024 and a new dodger (which is a significant upgrade from the factory dodger with more windows). Finally the boat is equipped with custom lee boards for the master aft cabin and custom lee cloths for the lateral cabin. They have never been used as True North has never sailed offshore.

This lovely Jeanneau 64 is a two owner boat. She was almost unused in fresh water by her elderly first owner and was stored indoors when not in the water. Her current owner purchased her in the spring of 2023 and brought her to Long Island Sound. Hence the extremely low hours. She has been maintained to a very high standard and, in many ways, shows as a new boat.

Her striking blue hull sets her apart from the crowd and her size makes her as comfortable a large cruiser as you will find anywhere. The level of fit and finish from Jeanneau cannot be beat for this price!

    Accommodations

RUE NORTH is a four cabin layout. Most of the time when you hear four cabins, your mind goes to a charter boat almost immediately. Not the case with this Jeanneau 64. She is a privately owned vessel that has never been in charter.

Her interior offers a tremendous main salon with excellent seating and dining area. Her galley is to port of the companionway and a step down offering a large work space, stand up refrigerator/freezer, wine refrigerator and plenty of room for two to work. To starboard of the companionway is a bonus cabin with upper and lower berths that serve as two excellent sea berths for offshore passages. Moving forward, she offers port and starboard cabins with large double berths and ensuite heads. Forward to starboard is a very large storage locker and work space that houses all the spares, tools, ground tackle and necessary toys. This area offers great access to the chain locker so you are not guessing what is going on with your ground tackle.

The private owners stateroom is full beam aft and is accessed by passing though the galley and past the day head that is to port just aft of the galley. The owners cabin features a queen size centerline berth, starboard seating area, port desk/chart table, large hanging locker and a very large private head and shower. The owner's head also offers a full walk in door to the engine and machinery space.
