Interior
Ho Hum offers luxurious accommodations for extended cruising and liveaboard use. It features a spacious owner's cabin with an en-suite head amidships and two guest cabins forward with an additional head. One of the guest cabins doubles as an office. The interior is finished with high-quality materials, including teak joinery, teak and holly flooring, granite counters, stainless steel ports, and plush upholstery.

Entering from the large aft deck, one walks through the main salon, past the galley to port, and the stairway to the owner’s cabin to starboard before stepping up to the pilothouse. There is a stairway to the cabins located forward and to the starboard in the pilothouse, as well as stairs to the flybridge aft and to the starboard in the pilothouse.
The well-appointed salon is accessible from the aft deck. It is finished with quality teak joinery and teak and holly flooring. To the starboard, there are two seats and storage. To port, there is a folding dining table with an L-shaped settee. The upholstery was recently replaced. Thanks to large windows, the space has plenty of natural light and provides excellent exterior views. There are seven opening windows in the salon and galley.
The galley is forward to port in the salon. There are overhead cabinets, under-counter cabinets/drawers, abundant storage, and Corian countertops.

The large owner’s cabin is amidships with easy access to the pilothouse, salon, and mechanical room via companionways, fore and aft. It features a queen bed, storage space, and an en-suite head with a separate shower.
The primary guest cabin is forward with a queen bed and storage. The primary guest cabin and guest cabin share the guest head.
The guest cabin and office are to port. It has twin offset beds, a storage locker, and a desk with a chair.
Hull and Deck
Beginning aft is a stern platform with stainless steel safety rails and a transom door leading to the aft deck. The aft deck is covered and offers plenty of room for deck chairs. It includes a deck hatch to access a large aft lazarette and a molded stairwell to the flybridge. There are side bulwark doors for access to the side decks, which are well-protected by high bulwarks. The aft cockpit and the covered portions of the side decks have glued-down teak decking. The exposed areas of the deck have molded non-skid. Bulwark cap rails are varnished teak with snap-on protective covers.

Mechanical
The Selene 53 Ocean Trawler is easy to maneuver thanks to bow and stern thrusters and its powerful 430 Cummins primary engine. There are two helms with redundant controls. One is in the enclosed pilothouse, and the other is on the flybridge.
Ho Hum has a Yanmar 52 HP "get home" engine with a separate shaft and feathering prop for redundancy.
