INTRODUCTION
One of the last and well upgraded 160's built, #32 of 35, “BLUE” benefits from the owner’s refinements and from extensive owner driven customization as well as professional maintenance. Her owners added well- thought-out improvements through their adventures on “BLUE” be it Transpac, Offshore passage making, Bay sailing, or Doublehand Cruising Mexico. “BLUE” has been consistently reconfigured sparing no expense to meet the challenges, Ambitions and Comfort of her owners. Fitted with Hall Carbon Mast, Hall Carbon V boom, with Harken Split Track system, Carbon radar tower, Lewmar power cabin top and primary winches and additional of hydraulic vang/backstay control enhance ease and safety to create an amazing sailing experience. Faster than most 60’s easier to handle than most 40’s.
ACCOMMODATION
The interior is in excellent condition with matt and high gloss rich teak walls, bulkheads and table. Sole is teak and holly currently being refinished in main salon. Upholstery is navy Ultra Leather including sea berth. Nav station is true leather.
Comfortable living with multiple hatches, port lights, stainless dorade air scoops, 3 zone reverse cycle air conditioner/heater/dehumidifier and added Hella Turbo fans.
Forward master stateroom has ensuite head with Vacuflush toilet, shower, teak seating, vanity, and sink. Double berth port with bookshelves and built in cabinets. Built in drawer beneath berth. Starboard teak hanging locker, built in cabinets, drawers, and desk. Stainless hinged vanity stool with Ultra Leather. Forward head holding tank replaced 2016. All sanitation hoses replaced with Shields Poly X lifetime warranty against odor permeation in 2016. Replumbed heads for holding tank flushing only. Outboard tank evacuation on separation pump/switch.
Main salon features an Ultra Leather covered port sea berth, port and starboard Ultra Leather settees, bilateral folding leaf high gloss teak center table with recessed spirit storage. Starboard side built in teak cabinetry, 32 in flat screen TV, sound bar, DVD blue ray, and built in speakers. Large storage drawers behind settee cushions, port and starboard. Primary and secondary back up water pumps installed outboard of port settee. 4 mounted Hella Turbo fans. Salon floors refinished 2024.
The Galley is well equipped with three burner Force 10 range, oven and infrared broiler. Microwave is recessed in upper cabinet to left of range. Separate refrigerator/freezer compartments. Factory engine drive refrigerator system was replaced and upgraded to DC Sea Frost refrigeration system. Double stainless-steel sink. Filtered fresh water faucet and salt water spout with added foot pump control. Separate beverage refrigerator located opposite Nav station for easy access.
An all teak Nav station lies opposite the galley. Luxuries include an LED navigation white/red adjustable desk lamp, Sat phone, Navigation equipment, large monitor, stereo, printer, Furuno chart plotter, 2 B&G FFD’s, SSB, VHF, and AIS system. Electrical panel is recessed in the bulkhead over the captain’s seat.
Aft guest head lies aft of the Nav station and is accessible from the main salon and starboard guest cabin. It is equipped with VacuFlush toilet, sink and pullout faucet for standing shower.
Starboard guest cabin with double berth, all teak hanging locker, drawers, cabinets, and single door engine access. Addition of mounted Hella Turbo fan, double berth with detachable lee cloth.
Port cabin features teak built in drawers, cabinets, and standing locker which houses a Splendide 2000s vented washer/dryer. Hanging mesh pantry bags installed behind door. Double berth possibility. Currently single berth, separated by lee cloth with storage and mounted dive compressor in outboard birth. Hella Turbo fan and double door engine generator access.
