Full Details
General
Pegasus is a sturdy but nicely equipped motor cruiser built by Prima Yachts. We are the third owners, and she has been well maintained throughout her life. Her twin Cummins Diamond C Series 450 hp diesel engines with only 1132 hours provide economical operation both from the standpoint of fuel and maintenance. The shallow draft and full keel permit thin water cruising not normally available on a boat this size. She cruises comfortably around 1O knots and has been operated for short periods up to 17 knots. The hull is solid fiberglass, and the decks and bridge areas are done in Nydacor for strength and low weight. She has two 300 gallon fuel tanks and one 200 gallon water tank.
The three cabins and two full heads each with standup enclosed showers provide very enjoyable accommodations for six. Pegasus offers many features not often found on a vessel this size including:
• a day head in the rear area of the salon;
• a wide, solid, curved stairway from the cockpit to the flybridge with solid railing that provides safety in all conditions;
• covered side deck walkways from cockpit to bow area that have solid sides with a rail on top which provide very safe passage for adults, children, and pets in all conditions;
• a very large heated and cooled flybridge with seating for 10 to 12 people that has a hard top fully enclosed with isinglass;
• cockpit has three bulkhead doors for easy boarding and access to swim platform.• Three cabins
• Oversized air conditioned/heated flybridge
• Three dock boxes for storage
• Shallow draft with full keel
• Wide covered walkarounds for safe movement in all conditions
• Day head aft in salon
• Tinted windows
• Large opening windows in salon
• Beautiful teak floors and walls
Accomodations/Cabins
Salon
Entering the salon through the sliding cockpit door, to port is a large, four cushion sofa with a high-low coffee table. Continuing forward to port is the fully equipped galley with granite countertops followed by a dinette with seating for six. Opposite the galley is a hatch and steps leading to a large storage area. This area also houses the raw water pumps for the air-conditioning units and the central vacuum system. Conveniently located on the aft starboard side of salon is the day head with a sink and fresh water flush electric head. Forward of the head to starboard is an entertainment center, including a Bose CD sound system with speakers throughout the salon, a television, DVD player and storage. Continuing forward, there is a desk/nav station and a complete lower helm with a pilot house door. The entire salon is decorated in teak and inlaid exotic wood.
Cabins
Forward of the salon are steps leading to three cabins and two full heads. To port is a cabin with full bed, closet, lockers, and an adjoining door to the guest head. Further to port is a hall entrance to the guest head with standup enclosed shower, sink with double mirror storage above, and fresh water flush electric head. To starboard is the second guest cabin with twin beds, cedar closet and lockers. On centerline is the master cabin with queen pedestal bed, two cedar closets with mirrors, storage lockers, opening skylight hatch, television with DVD player, and private head with full standup enclosed shower, sink with double mirror storage above, and fresh water flush electric head.

Owners Remarks
We purchased this boat in 2013 and immediately began renovations in excess of
$41,000 which included a new full enclosure of the flybridge; new batteries, battery ends and boxes; recovering all upholstery and window trim; new hot water heater; water filter for sink; refurbishing hydraulic lift; custom tender mount; installing three deck boxes; reworking both exhaust systems on engines; a multitude of new hoses and clamps. Subsequent to that renovation, we purchased a new AB 9vs dinghy and cover and a new BF-10 Honda outboard for approximately $7,500; a new Revere Offshore Elite 8 person life raft for $3,500; three new deck boxes with white vinyl cushions for $3,200; a new Vesper Class B AIS transponder and splitter for $2,000 which included installation; a second anchor (Delta), two inflatable fenders, and a water filter for $1,025. So prior to us taking off in the boat, we spent in excess of $58,000 getting it ready to cruise. Since we began cruising the middle of 2013, we have added a Garmin chartplotter (740 series); added a new Xantrex Freedom 458 inverter/charger; had all film on windows removed and retinted; had fuel tanks cleaned and polished the fuel; installed a new Lewmar motor for the windlass; installed a new alternator and raw water pump on the port engine; replaced the starter batteries for both engines and the genset; had the boat hauled, bottom cleaned and painted, and zincs checked and replaced in February 2015; replaced the A/C
compressor unit for the cabins and are in the process of replacing the A/C compressor unit for the salon.
As you can see, we have maintained the boat in excellent operating condition and will continue to do so. We have found Pegasus to be an extremely comfortable and safe boat for cruising and entertaining family and friends, having cruised the Tenn-Tom waterway, the Gulf coast, the Florida Keys, Florida's east coast, and the Bahamas.
