The Viking 50 Billfish is the newest and largest model in the Billfish series, delivering convertible-level comfort, maximum versatility, and Viking engineering, performance, and build quality in a highly capable sportfishing platform. Building on the success of the 37, 38, and 46 Billfish models, the 50 Billfish represents a significant evolution of the series with increased size and enhanced comfort while remaining true to its fish-focused mission.

Since the launch of the Billfish series in 2017, Viking has delivered a combined 90 boats across the three earlier models, establishing a unique market segment for owners seeking sporty, easily maintained yachts designed for fish-focused owner/operators. The 50 Billfish advances this concept further by prioritizing comfort and luxury without compromising the series’ sportfishing legacy.

The 50 Billfish shares the same hull as the other models in Viking’s 50 Series, including the Convertible, Sport Coupe/Sport Tower, and Open Express. Beyond the hull, however, the 50 Billfish is entirely distinct, featuring different mechanical layouts, engine placement, fuel tank configuration, and weight distribution specific to the Billfish design.

A defining feature of the Viking 50 Billfish is its 170-square-foot cockpit, an exceptionally large cockpit for a mid-size sportfisher. The cockpit is designed for serious fishing and includes cavernous fish boxes, a generous tackle cabinet, a drink box, and freezer and refrigerated storage. Deep mezzanine seating enhances comfort and allows for a port-side lounge, contributing to both functionality and livability.

The yacht features a fixed aft bulkhead that is integral to the deckhouse, with a centerline door leading into a day-boat-style salon. The salon layout includes a port-side lounge, a raised dinette to starboard with rod storage below, and a forward split galley. Owners have the flexibility to install up to three Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer units, along with ample cabinet storage and countertop space.

Below deck, the Viking 50 Billfish offers a two-stateroom layout with an open area that can be configured with upper and lower bunks or outfitted as a rod-and-tackle center. The forward master stateroom includes a walkaround queen berth with a private ensuite head. The port guest stateroom features upper and lower berths with access to the port head, which also serves as the day head.

Like its stablemates, the 50 Billfish incorporates an inset-style flybridge design, creating a sporty profile while maintaining a spacious feel. The bridge is centered around a walkaround, center-console helm that maximizes visibility. Seating, a refrigerated drink box, and abundant storage complete the flybridge layout.
